Bio

Outside the original Alchemy Guild Portal in Český Krumlov, Czech Republic.

My name is Benjamin.  I’ve always been fascinated by the occult world.  The turning point for me came when I encountered my first true alchemy teacher, Mr. Dennis William Hauck.  After completing my alchemy studies through the International Alchemy Guild I became a certified teacher on the same program.   I’ve travelled and lived in different parts of the world, studying with alchemists and magicians from the USA and the UK.

In 2017 I accepted a position on the Board of Directors for the Guild, serving as Director of Education.  The International Alchemy Guild is an esoteric organisation that traces its origins back to the Renaissance and the Court of Emperor Rudolf II in Prague, you can find out more about it here.

I’m interested in the intersection between alchemy, ceremonial magic and astrology.  These are the three parts of Hermes’ wisdom as outlined in the Emerald Tablet, an ancient document from Alexandrian Egypt.  I serve to help the Great Work occur – that of matter becoming spirit and spirit incarnating into matter.  I teach ancient techniques that help people live in alignment with reality so my clients can achieve change, integration and balance.  This occurs on all three levels – Body, Soul and Spirit.

Guild Certified Alchemist

My particular interests in the Hermetic arts takes the form of making alchemical products including tinctures, essences, elixirs and stones as well as a range of magickal tools.  I’m particularly interested in the relationship between spiritual medicines and ritual.  I run workshops in Hermetics which you can find out more about here, as well as organising bigger events such as the recent 2018 Alchemy Guild Conference in Glastonbury, UK.
