About Mindfulness

In the stress and turmoil of our daily lives it can sometimes be difficult to find a refuge, a place where we can find release from the difficulties that living presents.  Mindfulness is a technique useful to anyone interested in making life easier for themselves.

website 2By moving into an aware, observational state meditation reveals the connection always present between things.  The goal-seeking mind is expanded to a sense of reality that is free from stress.

In an ultimate sense, meditation results in existential freedom.  In the relative sense, it provides a valuable resource for facing life with dignity, grace and courage. It helps to integrate change and balance the mind with equanimity.

The Mindfulness I give instructions on is the most time honoured, tried and tested form handed down the ages from the historical figure Gotama Buddha.

* Attain inner peace
* Master complex thoughts and emotions
* Gain acceptance
* Be free from life’s difficulties
* Know your True Self
* Develop concentration

My mindfulness experience comes from years of daily practice, as well as long, intensive retreats (also from time as a fully ordained Buddhist monk) in Theravadan, Zen and Dzogchen traditions.

About Chigong Practices

Chigong helps to balance internal energy, develop intuition, provide clarity of mind and integrate change at a physical and psychological level.  Through focussed breathing, conscious movement of the body and intention, Chigong enables the practitioner to feel connected to Self, intuition and to the world.

Chi Gong is also useful for clearing stagnant or bad Chi from the energy meridians of the body and bringing good chi in. This helps to increase physical and mental health, well-being and resiliance.
