Methods

flowerIn a typical session the methods used will depend on what issues you would like to explore, but can include:

P.E.E.F.T
(Process Experiential Emotion Focused Therapy)
This is a form of therapy centred around emotions and presence.  It works to transform maladaptive (stuck) emotions to adaptive (useful) ones.

Art Therapy
The latest in therapy which assists in life’s difficulties through undertaking creative processes.  Art therapy is not concerned so much with artistic ability, but moreso about using the creative process as a ‘container’ for the problem/issue.  Here you can express with pictures what may be difficult with speech – as the saying goes “a picture says a thousand words”.

Gestalt
Embodiment and experience of the multiple aspects of self, useful for working with the inner critic, disembodiment, understanding shadow or disowned parts of our self, understanding and changing beliefs that no longer serve us.

Dream Work, Active Imagination & Jungian Archetypes
More traditional forms of psychotherapy based on a Jungian approach.

S.E.E.L (State Enhanced Exploration and Learning )
This is similar to hypnosis, except that it relies less on suggestion and more on what you want to focus on.

Focusing
A cutting-edge form of therapy which brings the issue into awareness with open, non-judgemental attention, and transforming it through the use of awareness in the body and symbols.

Ritual Work
Deep conscious symbolic action (see ‘rituals section for more info).

And more!  Guided and Insight Meditation, Chakra Balancing and Diagnosis, Insight Dialogue, Intention and Visualisation techniques, examining Personal Mythology and pattern mapping, Emotional Freedom Technique…all tools to support you in understanding and being more of yourself.
